This and That

Most of the flowers we showed you last month have gone now. The cherry trees are covered in leaves; the forsythia have gone from yellow to green; the daffodils have served their purpose.

Now the allium are out. They are so pretty, but stinky!

The lilacs are in bloom in the front of the house.

The rhododendron by the driveway is ready to bloom.

The hostas are getting bigger. Don't you just love the summer?

With the warm weather finally being closer to arriving, we have gotten our butts in gear and switched the winter clothes in our closet for summer duds. It's about time!

I filled the extra space that my sweater tote is no longer occupying with my camp bag (in the back) and a new cute storage cubby for shoes that don't fit in the sleeves I have mounted on the side of the closet (hard to see in this photo).

Our other "big" upgrade is getting new bedside lamps. We had the other ones for years and years. They served their purpose long ago. I was so glad to throw the old ones away!

It is such a nice feeling to have things freshened for summer :)

Smiles!
