I cut a corner too close this morning and nudged (nice euphemism, ay?) the curb. It nudged the car right back. Oops.

It doesn't look too bad from here. The damage is on the passenger side of the bumper.

But, once you get closer, it is ugly. Really ugly. The measurement is from the edge of the bumper, so really the scratch is about 9" long.

The body shop has given me an estimate of $325 to repair and repaint my stupidity. The sickness in my stomach (from this stupid mistake) is beginning to subside. I guess I am paying a small price for a big lesson.
