Today, as we all know, is the 8th anniversary of the terrible 9-11 terrorist acts. Thinking of my own crystalline memories, the day is clear to me in how it played out, who I talked with, and what I felt (similar, in fact, the my memory of the Oklahoma City bombing).
The satellites circling our planet also captured the crisis in motion. This website contains an image of the twin towers from space. I don't know when the image was captured or how it was obtained, but it is pretty incredible.
May those who lost their lives rest in peace, and may their families find solace on this difficult day.
