Transplanting and Cutting

We tried to do a little bit outside this weekend. One of our two big projects was to move our holly from behind the barn to next to the driveway. We got these guys, a male and female (the one with berries) for about $5 6 years ago. They were in a small pot. We planted them behind the barn and they took off! We think they'll be prettier by the driveway where we can see them all winter.

We always find hidden treasures when we dig in our yard. This time, we found a broken plate buried where we were transplanting the holly.

We also decided to take a tree down on the side of the yard. We'd really like to take down a bigger grouping, but we stuck to one (for today).

All in all, we got a lot done. And, even though it is fall, the roses are still in bloom!

Smiles!
